what the pen is
Each pen is pre-filled with the compound at the strength stated on the product — there's no powder to reconstitute. The reservoir is 3 ml, and the dial delivers 300 clicks across that volume. That fixed relationship — one pen = 300 clicks — is what makes the dose maths clean.
why a pen beats a vial & syringe
- No reconstitution — the pen arrives ready, removing the step where an unstable solution sits at room temperature and errors creep in.
- Repeatable increments — a click is a fixed, mechanical unit; a syringe drawn by eye is not.
- Simple maths — because the pen is always 300 clicks, per-click amount is just the pen total ÷ 300.
how clicks map to a dose
Divide the pen's total by 300 to get the amount per click. For a milligram pen, that's (pen mg × 1000) ÷ 300 micrograms per click; for the somatropin pen, dosed in IU, it's pen IU ÷ 300 per click. The click calculator does this for every pen and converts a target dose to clicks.
